My wife and I went on the Rockaway Ferry today. I had my BC125 with me, so figured I'd take it out with my headphones to see if I could pick them up. I did pick up a short close-called transmission at BOTH Sunset Park terminal and Wall Street Terminal on 156.6225. This is not a typo. I find this strange since the closest standard marine channel is 156.625 (as non commercial). Could NYC Ferry be on 156.625 and my scanner just picked it up off frequency? I see no such listing for 156.6225.

Unrelated, I also picked up a lot of fishermen chatting about their catches of the day on 157.125.

double check to see what you have your step setting set to on VHF.

I dont think there is a way to change the frequency step setting on the BC125. However, after I reviewed some old threads, it appears NYC Ferry was already confirmed on 156.625 (Marine Ch. 72). But, never added to the DB. I will submit it right now. Thanks again.
