Closed vrs Open mode

I use the Closed mode a lot on my Pro-96 but it jumps back to Open with any help from me on a regular basis. Is anyone else having this problem?

Can you lock them out in open mode? Just curious, because I hate the fact that I can't with my Pro 95.

THIS IS SPECIFIC TO THE PRO-96

It's the "Talkgroup Image" problem that I have mentioned on a number of occasions that varies between CPU firmware versions.

V1.2 was always allowing Jeffco L.E. 1401 through when I was trying to listen to Weld County Ambulance Dispatch 1913 in closed mode. Lockout 1401 and 1913 would be locked out in open mode. Do the math and the TG's are decimal 512 apart. I ended up finding another radio with original firmware release 1.1 CPU as a result to get away from this.

Take a look at your scanlists to see which Talkgroups you are ending up locking out when you do this. You may end up locking out a legitimate group you want to hear in open mode.

Cool, I hope the 396 will do that also. Are you expecting to get any 396's, or will it be online orders only for a while?

Sounds like it is an internal problem. OK--lockout the unwanted.
