Using Win96 for the old Pro-96 scanner there was way to close the talkgroups to where only the programmed talkgroups would come up instead of every single one on the system. Is there a way to do this in WIN-500?

Thanks!

For the 106 you need to have an active Group Wildcard in TSYS scanlist for Open scanning. Without this active Wildcard, the scanner is scanning only unlocked programmed Group Objects or Closed scanning.

Fortunately, GA
Larry, you can create a second Wildcard then click in its Group to change to Private (I-Call)
Thanks for the info, Frank. I did the wildcard in my favorite P25 systems, but am not hearing any of the TG's that are not programmed in. I know that my county's new system is adding TGID's. Unfortunately, they are encrypted. Just want to match them to what the 96 has been getting in Open mode. Another system adds new ones every once in a while. I can't wait to really understand this radio and use all its bells and whistles:) I've been using Win500 and Pro96com, and it has really opened my eyes to what a great scanner it is.

Win500 defaults all Wildcards to Scanlist 1. If your favorite P25 is using another list, you may need to change Win500 t0 match that list or you can toggle list 1 on and get the new talkgroups.
