CM300 No Audio

I'm just received a used CM300 25w. Everything programs correctly, but I can not get any audio, from either the button tones, the power up tone, programming tone, no sound at all and no voice. I've looked at every possible setting and can not seem to find anything that disables the internal speaker. I have it set up identical to our other radios (Could Not Clone Due to our others being 50W). Any ideas? Thanks

Two thoughts....

First, is there any thing at all hooked up through the accessory connector?

Second, open it up and see if the speaker is unplugged.

Failng that, bad audio amp?

If its the same as the UK spec version, there's a 0 ohm SMT 'resistor' on the PCB adjacent to the accessory connector which if removed will disable the internal speaker. The unit can then be used with an external speaker or the internal speaker can be re-enabled by fitting a link across a couple of the accessory connector pins similar to the old GM300's. I forget which pins they are but i can find out when i'm in the workshop next if needed.
