Well, with the ice situation right now, I'd thought I would try CMP downloaded from the radio reference database using my Butel scanner programs for the 996T and the 325p2. I cannot for the life of me get the LTR to work!! After hearing NOTHING, I created a system of all the freqs in a conventional group. Low and behold, I'm hearing them fine that way. I may just listen to it in conventional mode instead of wasting my time to hear the LTR.

Anyone else get the radioreference database download to work?

CMP was always a PITA, to get the right LCN info
And there are more than 3 frequencies out of York

See if you can figure out all the LCN's for the Alfred Region, with that much activity it might be easier, than for us tourists
during the summer :)

Ha ha, sure Bill! Unfortunately, the freqs in the chart aren't set up by region. It's multiple sites. Some are close to me, some are not. I'm about to give up on this as it is wasting my time. Very frustrated! I think I'm going to try setting up multiple sites and see if it works.

Here's what I'm dealing with from RR:

Red (c) are primary control channels | Blue (a) are alternate control channels | Site Map(s): FCC Callsigns RR Locations

There are 8 Frequencies licensed for York under the Alfred Zone in SNE and only 3 in RR
either SNE has too many, or RR has too few reported.

Add all 8 in Conventional mode, capture the LCN and then add them and see what happens.

I'll try but I doubt I'll get reception that far away. I'm much closer to Falmouth, Gray, and Sebago.

Ok, some success! I uploaded only the Falmouth site and it is working correctly. Just heard Portland crews. I think I will make a system with a few of the closer sites to me and assign a different QuickKey for each. Then I will be able to turn on and off certain sites for testing. Just kills me that the Gray site is silent and I live so close to it! I'll make this system and try it out and let you guys know if it works.

Well, downloading multiple sites and assigning different QuickKeys will not work on an LTR system. So much for that idea. It worked on the MScommNet P25 system but not this. It was worth a try. I think I'll just settle with the Falmouth site as it appears to be working fine here. Thanks to all who gave advice. I appreciate your help.

If you set up a search with that range of frequencies and set the option of "Control Channel Only" on, it will show full LTR channel information when someone is talking. You may be able to get something more from that.

Thank you Chris. I may toy around with that next storm. So far, the Falmouth site has worked for me yesterday. Appreciate your help.
