CN/CP Police

In all my years of listening to scanners I've never heard any chatter from either of these Police Services on their channels. Has anyone heard them?

Very little. One of them (I forget which) was on the ClearNET (then MiKE) network for a long time. They will be NXDN capable now too.

Same with Military Police around my area.... never heard a thing.

The few time I have heard police activity was on odd ball rail freq. The closest I can figure is they simply chose an inactive channel and used that. The last topic of discussion I heard was them watching a rail yard to catch taggers ( graffiti).

Most likely CN. CP is using Wave On Cloud for their ops with AES-256.

I was 'visited' by two Rail cops back in 1983 when I was young and very stupid, long story.

But since then I've heard them a few times in Montreal and in Toronto a long time ago.

They had all the police powers that regular cops had back then, it wasn't a pleasant evening for me
