Basic problem: call drops in the middle of transmission; scan picks it up again but some part of message is lost.

I'm in Douglas County. I've tried this on both the Franktown and Silver Creek towers. I have line-of-site to Franktown tower.

BCT396T, Radio Shack 800mhz "rubber ducky." Signal strength shows 5 bars. Priority is NOT on. AGC is on. Only one system active at a time. Freqs and TGIDS from RR database. Squelch at 2 (at 1 get too much "white noise.") Close call off. Service and custom search off. Broadcast screen on. No attenuation. P25 level == auto. Delay time == 3. Hold time == 2. ID Scan. I-Call == Off. Emergency Alert == Off.

Scanning for Douglas County sheriff and fire dispatch plus Parker PD.

Are there other settings I need to review? Suggestions?

Thanks,

Rog

Fixed, but don't know how ...

Reset scanner, then reloaded from ARC396. Went through EVERY menu and made sure anything that could interrupt was off. Now seems to work OK... I suspect I had something like "data skip" or "WX alt alert" turned on somewhere.

Needed to reorg anyway to provide separate systems for various CSP locales...

Thanks for paying attention!
