Does anyone know what the frequencies the coast guard uses for response to boat fires and water rescues on the connecticut coastline,I am aware of the maritime channels and I did find some freqs the coast guard has but is there a particular channel or channels they use for these types of emergencies ,I know maritime channel 16 is use to radio in emergencies . There was a boat fire today in Stratford and that's what sparked my curiosity.

Thanks for any info that is offered

I am surprised you pick up 162.3250, USCG 111, it is in use for Sector NYC. I pick it up when I go 'home' to NYC/Long Island but have never heard it up here in New England, anywhere I can recall.

Where you are I pick up 171.2375, USCG 127, 162.0500,USCG 108 and at times a mix of 163.1375, USCG 113 and 162.2500, USCG 110.

162.3250 aka CG-111 is also used by Stations, Gloucester MA, New Bedford MA, Cape Cod Canal and Menemsha for Massachusetts. Point Judith RI as been close-called as well
