Relocated to the Tampa Bay area and would like to get into monitoring US Coast Guard activity in the area. Any tips, freqs? Im located in Clearwater and hear the USCG helicopters talking on Marine 16. Anything else to listen to in regards to USCG in the area?

Put in "ALL" of the VHF and UHF LMR channels
Altho USCG Sector St Pete, tends to be on a specific set of these frequencies, sometimes they stray and/or a visiting cutter will
tend to stay on their own Homeport Net. Do expect a mix of CLR and ENC tho

I am about 40 air mile's from Clearwater. I scan 345.000 on a routine basis. I rarely hear anything there. USCG aircraft routinely communicate with Brooksville-Tampa bay airport <Hernando county> on 118.550 mhz <am>. They frequently train/refuel there.
