Check out Ebay item # 190295751544. This guy is selling LMR400 jumpers and claiming its the best coax cable you can buy. I guess he never tried Andrew Heliax or WL Gore cables or a million other high end cables.

He also claims "IT IS RECOMMENDED TO RUN A GOOD SIX FOOT JUMPER BETWEEN THE RADIO AND THE AMP TO ELIMINATE TVI AND PREVENT HARMONICS". What? Is there a built in TVI filter inside his jumpers? That's quite a bit of technology there, a cable that eliminates TVI and prevents harmonics. Wonder if its too late to patent this....

He also says "Here we are selling these WAY BELOW COST of Cable or Connectors ". Hmm, lets see, LMR400 is about $.50/ft in bulk and his cable is 6ft long. That's $3.00 plus two high quality Teflon PL-259s at $3.00 a pair for a grand total of $6.00. How does his $29.95 price plus shipping rate way below cost???

Oh, I just noticed at the top of his ad, he says his auction is for new, "fresh" low loss cable. That must be it, everyone else is selling STALE coax and this guy has cornered the market on fresh coax. Damm, I better get me some of that and pay extra for overnight shipping to preserve the freshness and keep them harmonics down.

Or not.

Not sure what he has been selling to get that rating, can't see that many service manuals and mod CD's being sold. As far as coax goes I can get a better deal 4 miles down the road, every time I need some it's spur of the moment so I would rather drive to go get it.

Not taking sides but I want to make 1 point how many of you were big cb radio operators in the 70's like I was I know in making jumpers for 27 meg that even number of feet 4 6 8 made a difference between the amp and radio and the amp and coax switch. Same brand coax silver pl259 sordered and checked with a ohm meter. A 5 footer had standing wave and a 4 footer or 6 footer did not just as I would only use even number of feet on the run up the tower to the antenna. But wave length does mater on transmit but I only rec now if I were to trans I would use a tdr and sweep the line.
