First off sorry if this is a tired question, but I’m brain-dead from reading posts. I recently stopped receiving COBB FD. Fire is all I'm interested in. Looking at the RR database, can we listen to a P25 CIA in Cobb? It’s been a while since I programmed those scanners so I can’t remember if I had the Type II or the GEWIN programmed, but I’m leaning towards the Type II. I have various scanners but have two RS-2096, one Disp, one Tac for this system.

Looking at the two systems and comparing talk groups, is Cobb transmitting on the MOT and the P25? Just wondering if anythings changed because all I had time to do is check my connections and antenna as the wife has me Christmas shopping uggggghh

Cobb Fire is now exclusively on the P25 (GEWIN) system. The Talk Groups listed here on RR are good. Yell if you need anymore help. By the way, ALL public safety located within Cobb County is now on the GEWIN system. Frankly, I'm not sure what, if anything, is left on the old Motorola II system.

Good listening!

If you are in the immediate Marietta area, you can receive the FD dispatch simulcast on 154.250. It is a very low power transmitter and you may have trouble hearing it out in the county.

Is the 154.250 simulcast still in operation? I live in Smyrna and used to hear it quite often but haven't heard it in quite a few days

154.250 was up a few days ago. I just went into town and didn't hear anything. Scratch my earlier message.

Thanks guys, I live at 400 and 285 and have both systems programmed in, fire talk groups only. I havent heard squat even though I have good sig strenght. Opening up the bank on the P25 system affords me some chatter, but havent heard any fire which is odd. I can get all other surrounding so antenna and LMR400 is great.

154.25 is a city of Marietta crossband repeater, it is connected to a radio programmed for the old analog system. Every now and then someone patches or multi-selects the original analog dispatch TG and you'll hear it open up every now and then.
