I bought a used ESD-7400 and was trying to find out what the two trim pots on the PCB adjust. I'm sure the original owner tweeked them and I wanted to get them back where they belong. All the other adjustments were not touched (still have factory glue on them).
Thanks for any help you can offer.

DO NOT turn them!! There is nothing you can do internally to it without a smt bench set up for microwave work!

OK, Since I'm convinced the original owner did adjust them, and the detector is all but dead now, I'll get my money back since I don't have the rf equipment to troubleshoot the detector. Thanks for the heads up.

If any of those pots have been turned, then you have a fancy little paperweight! :(

I got my money back and now he owns the paperweight once again.
I ended up buying a Cobra XRS-9370 and though it works fairly well, it still isn't as sensitive as an old Uniden RD-55 detector I once owned that operated on the X and K bands.
Though I'm not going to make any adjustments to the new detector, I'm still curious as to the functions of these trim pots (what they adjust?). And does anyone know if the Cobra line is as sensitive as other brands in the X,K,Ka bands?
