Hi,
I was wondering if anyone out there knows if you are able to monitor Cody PD? New to the area and can't find a feed. I tried messaging to feed owner in Powell, but he's not answering.
Thanks!

I am 12 miles west of Cody and monitor Cody PD as well as Park County sheriff and other agencies. It is P25 and digital (mostly).

Cody PD utilizes WyoLink therefore a digital trunking scanner, such as the Pro-106, is needed. Their frequency 154.3325 114 NAC is only utilized on the rare occasion that WyoLink is inoperable.

If you're a cheapskate (like me) with some moderate to advanced computer skill you can purchase a USB software defined radio such as the RTL2832U for cheap. You have to buy two of them ~ $15 each and then install some free software on to a windows PC. There a multiple forums on RR about this process. You need two radios, one to decode the signal and another that will jump from frequency to frequency to follow the voice traffic. I am hoping to put up a feed in a couple of months. Good luck!

And the whole forum on the subject
