Analog EMS freq 155.235.

When they talk it's all jibberish like Chinese are talking. Why does this happen?

RR showing as follows:

155.23500 - (input) 150.80500 KNEE239 RM 162.2 PL EMS Disp EMS Dispatch FM EMS Dispatch

At the hairdresser's, past the liquor store.
That happened during the bid feud between Keller Ambulance & Shoals Ambulance about three years ago.

Someone in their infinite wisdom thought Keller should scramble. I remember thinking how childish that whole thing was then.

Moot point to boot since about 99% percent of EMS calls are given out to FDs/VFDs over other frequencies.

What it boils down to is that we are cheated out of all the patient transfer calls. We should protest!

But what do i know? It must have worked. Keller still has the contract.

Thanks for the information. Understood Air Evac dispatched on that freq for the area. Is that correct? Like you said though, save us from med transfer calls. Boring!

I suppose Air Evac still coordinates with Colbert 911 on Keller's channel.

However again, nothing that one can't learn by listening elsewhere.

Air Evac is using 151.505 for their own communications. I'm not where I can get the tone at the moment.

AirEvac's Shoals tower is on 151.505. They were using 065 DPL, but I noticed just today that they have changed to 205 DPL. Not sure when that happened. I haven't heard AirEvac on Keller's channel since they started using inversion, and the Technisonic radios installed in their aircraft aren't capable of voice inversion.

Regarding Keller, just thought I'd mention that analog voice inversion is not the most secure thing in the world. Not by far...

Get an AOR 8200 with Speech Inversion card and you will receive 155.235. AOR 8000 also has this option.
