I came across about 100 feet of this for free. i was wondering if this coax would be good enough to use for my outside ht antenna. just will be doing a homemade 1/4 wave 2 meter antenna on a pole outside my house for my vertex vx-150.

The good news: Coleman is a US producer that makes very good coax
SO so: RG-6 is 75 Ohms and may cause a little more loss for you but it will be much better than cheap RG-58 and the price was right! YMMV but give it a try and post the results. Of course use the shortest length you can!
