Hey All,
As a few have asked is Colleton going 800? I have noticed in my travels thru that Cottageville PD and Colleton SD are running 800 MHZ antennas. One SD car I passed today had only an 800 ant. So my questions is are they using the Palmetto 800 system or a seperate system. I have tried ID searching while running thru the county but have not been able to find any new ID's And I am unable to recieve the Canadays and Yemmesee Towers from home which are the ones I beleive they would be using. Thanks Ron

A couple of years ago they where talking about going Palmetto 800. Apparently they are begining the process. I do listen to the Yemassee tower conditions allowing, and nothing yet. As of now only the Cannady's and yemasse tower are in use there and they give good coverage. I believe SCE&G has another tower, if needed, off of Ritter Road, more in the center of the County at a hard to find sub station.

In the past few days I have heard law enforce still on conventional.

I will scan more in the open mode knowing the change is comming.
