Colonie's APCO-25 Scanner

Wanted to upgrade my bct-15 to pick up Colonie's APCO-25 system. I can't afford the price of a new Uniden bc996t or a GRE psr-600 . Was looking at a Uniden bc796d which the 996 replaced. I can get one for half the bucks. It say's it will pick up 3600 and 9600 but not sure about Colonie. Is anyone running the Uniden bc796d now for their system or do I have to save some more for the new top dogs!

check nf2g.com for the system info i believe its 9600bps but not sure
check there safe bet and id say you should wait but that up to you

Thanks for your comment, it's always good to hear a fresh perspective. I was tossed between getting the new Uniden bcd996xt or cutting corner's.

i also had a thought while slept on this last nite even being a digital system are you able to pick up other p25 system as far out as colonie ? just curious i mean when i was living in rensselaer i had some issues recieving the system all together
