All fire agencies in Columbia County have and are dispatched with VHF. Columbia 911 stated during the migration that they would continue dispatching on 46.50 basically until the base fails, but most of the agencies have removed all the lowband equipment from service. A couple of agencies are still being toned out with VHF and 46.50, more as a backup due to weak coverage areas. The only radio traffic on 46.50 is the 'initial' dispatch, all the rest of the radio traffic goes over VHF. The rest of the low band frequencies are also not being used.
