Columbus Area Options for Uniden Scanners?

I know I will want DMR as the Zoo seems to be using it now.
But what about ProVoice EDACS and NXDN ?

Are any services/Companies using them?

AEP is moving from their EDACS system.

Standard EDACS is analog, PROVOICE is a digital option on EDACS systems. However, don't pay extra for EDACS to listen to AEP, because as phask mentioned, the AEP EDACS system is being retired. AEP's new system is P25 digital, which comes standard on any digital scanner.

EDIT: And pretty much every EDACS system is going away soon, since it is no longer supported by the manufacturer.

basically if you want to monitor public safety then you need to shell out for a sds.

Don't spend a dime on Provoice. Its a dying system that won't be updated. I don't know of any Provoice system in the Cbus area.

There is no Provoice in the state that I'm aware of. Pickaway County and Clark County were the last two (and both were powered down in 2019
