Hi,

I would like to try to monitor any local columbus SMR systems. Since i have a PRO-93, I cant monitor LTR systems. Does anyone know of any local SMR or business trunked systems that DONT use LTR?

Thanks,
Colin :D

There used to be 2-3 Motorola systems owned by B & C. They got sold to NexTel. Now, they're all LTR or using NexTels for comms.

Also, the 854.7625 frequency that you submitted is actually one of the MDT channels from the Columbus system. LTR systems don't have a 'control channel' per se. They send out their data in bursts on all channels in the system.

ok, I just tried to program the AERONAUTICAL RADIO (COLUMBUS SOUTHWEST) system into my scanner. This system is in Prairie Twp, OH. one problem though: I tried every frequency for the control channel, but no buzzing sound of EDACS Or Motorola, and no beeps that indicates an LTR system. Do you know what kind of system this is?
