Feed was deleted on line months ago. I have a radio shack pro
34,pro 2096. Can I use one of them.control channel switches very often,therefore all I hear is a buzz. Do I need to buy a digital trunking scanner? What brand/model would do the job?

I am not a scanner expert, so I can't help you there. I am however an expert on the Columbus SmartZone system. You will need a digital scanner. Also the control channel will always be channel 2 unless there is a system failure. Then, as soon as the system is repaired, the control channel will roll back to 2. Maybe someone else can advise on a good scanner.

The 2096 is a will receive P-25 systems. Just make sure that you include all of the CC's listed in the RR database.
