COLUMBUS NEWS CHOPPERS

[Colin9690]

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew frequencies of any news or traffic choppers in the Columbus area. Could some possibly use LTR?

Thanks,
COlin

Try here under Other Services. That might be a starting place.

lol. thanks man. But why is there 0.000000 for FREQ in some entrys? EXAMPLE:

0.00000 161.74500 CSQ WCMH-TV (Ch4) Helicopter audio .

Do i just use 161.745 as the frequency? It is listed as input. :?:

Thanks,
Colin

I think the 0.00000 is there 'cause 161.745 is simplex. Or somethin'. I dunno. Anyway, yes, use 161.745. It is simplex. To summarize:
CH4 (WCMH): 161.745
CH10 (WBNS): 450.2125 (tape room) or 450.4125 (producer)
Sunny 95: 450.800
Clearchannel (610 WTVN, others): 455.1375.

455.1375 is the best. "Corporal" Craig does reports every 5 minutes between 4:00 and 6:30ish.

Also listen to 450.250. That's the WTVN newroom and is used to relay traffic problem reports up to Cpl. Craig so he can use them in his reports.

Hope this helps.
