Columbus, Ohio and reception of outlying cities-Mot Type II

Am I being unrealistic to think I can receive Delaware City, or Heath
from the South of Columbus, with JUST the antenna from the BC785D?

Very unrealistic. I'm on the west side in Valleyview and I can't receive Dublin until late at night. I don't think Delaware has the big system that is spread out all over the area like Columbus. Maybe if you try a beam for 800 you might get some results,but I would'nt guarantee it. I think Heath might still be using some VHF so give that a try.

Thanks Bob-I wanted to make sure it wasn't how I had them programmed. Now, I need to beef up the antenna.
