Columbus, Ohio - which is better?

I live in Columbus, Ohio and am upgrading from my Pro-97 to a digital scanner. In your opinion which is better, the PSR 500 or the Pro-96? I see a lot of comparison threads but nothing specific to my area so I am sorry if I am boring you with another "which is better thread?"

If you would include a little info as to why you would choose one over another, that would be great. Money is not the issue as both run the same from the supplier I am purchasing from.

Remember, I am looking for users in the Central Ohio area and their feedback on these units.

PSR500 is the successor to Pro96 - it does everything the Pro96 does but better.
