Saw an article in the Sunday Dispatch about Columbus Police's new high-crime area "Strike Force".

These groups are using 4000 series numbers, and seem to operate on the "Main Air" for whatever zone they are in. I'm not clear on what mode of transportation these groups are using (cruiser, foot, or bicycle), but I would guess a combination of everything.

Strike team.
Call time to arrival on scene 90 minutes.
Is this so Mayor Coleman can have more ease of access to his hookers and drugs. Or would Chief Jackson have more ease of access to his hookers this way? Eh either way I'm glad I don't live within the city of Columbus.

Everything from snow removal to police/fire service seems like it stinks. I'm glad I don't live there, either.

Ok we've hijacked this thread long enough Jim.

Back on topic.

Coleman sucks, Jackson has a hooker addiction and the "strike force" sounds like something from the FX show "The Shield" It would be nice if Vic Mackey showed up. BTW I did meet Benito Martinez before (David Aceveda). Nice guy.

Not complaining

I am not going to complain about too much. I come from a different state that has different problems. I don't know if any city has a hold on crime, has good employment rates, and is a culturally (SP?) rich.
I actually like it in Columbus. I live inside the city limits, about 3 miles from downtown. I know Columbus has its problems, but what decent size city doesn't?
Westerville and places like that are nice places to live if you can afford it.

I think the strike force is a good idea. While listening, it seems they can be more proactive instead of reactive.
