Hi -

I was watching tv coverage of the protests in downtown Columbus last night and could not find any radio activity. I could hear it in the background of the reporters, but nothing on 5A where I expected it or any of the CPD channels.

I just got an SDS100 and am afraid I'm overlooking something.

Did anyone else hear the radio activity last night? Any guidance?

Thanks!

Ahhh. That was part of the problem. I did not have Law Tac enabled. I missed that entire section when I set this up. I’ll have to review my setup. I’ve enabled it now and have a ton more channels that I was missing.

However, I can’t find the EZ groups. I just heard that most of the downtown situation is on EZ2 tonight.

EZ talkgroups are under Interop. "Department" Franklin County Common.

Friday evening: EZ1 (North of Gay St Control), EZ2 (South of Gay St Control), SOEVNT2 (all FCSO coordinated here); CPD District 5 channels; CPD Traffic 2 – coordinated controlling traffic as many more were trying to get into downtown by car. I had three scanners covering. I neglected to monitor OSHP.

These are listed in the database in the Franklin County section of Ohio MARCS. Use the CTRL+F function of your browser and search for EZ. Impossible to miss.

The referenced situation was two months ago, however.
