Columbus Taxi Cabs

I was wondering if any of the taxi cab frequencies for the Columbus area listed in the database are still active ???

I used to hear some activity on some of the frequencies high lighted, but haven't heard anything on them lately.

I guess most of them use cell phones these days ???

Thanks for the reply. I should be back in the Columbus area tomorrow, and I will give them a listen again.

I am always so busy monitoring other stuff when I'm up there, and may overlook if there is any activity on them.

I used to get Green cab a lot - will give it a try today and report back.

I made a trip to Columbus today, and also logged Bobcat Taxi on 464.850 (Tone 123.0)

Blue Cab was heard on 452.350 (Tone D731)

I think a lot of cab companies are going to using cellular data in some form. I remember security was always an issue for taxis-other companies monitoring them and stealing fares by arriving first, etc.
