I submitted a few changes to the RR database today which modified a few talkgroups to reflect the fact that they are analog, as well as added some for Columbus Fire and Harris County. That should be the primary talkgroups most users like to scan. I will add a few more eventually I'm sure for Muscogee Sheriff & Marshal.

This weekend my family stayed with friends in Callaway Gardens. I loaded up the Muscogee regional trunking system to listen in on Harris county comms. I also created a system for the conventional VHFUHF frequencies.

Ended up hearing nothing on the conventional freqs, and very little on the TRS. I could hear stuff from Columbus if I wanted. I saw the 396XT scanner stop on Harris sheriff or EMS dispatch (don't remember which now), but no audio. Wonder if they were encrypted comms? Crazy that this system goes from Columbus all the way up to Hogansville!

One other thing. In Pine Mountain, I saw a couple local police cars with what looked like VHF antennas. I see nothing about them in the RR database. Used close call for a few hours and never got a hit. Is the RR database missing data there, or is Pine Mountain PD on the TRS?

I talked to someone that works for the sheriffs office today. He said TG 3024 was listed as Ch.4 Security on the old system.

The only users on this system that use encryption are spec ops types. All regular talkgroups are in the open. Harris County units (including Pine Mountian PD) are preparing to go to a DMR VHF system. They also have always had analog VHF radios in thier cars. If you used the frequencies listed in the Radio Reference database then you had the wrong frequencies. They don't seem to want to update them to the correct ones so I will post them here.

Copied/pasted these from my RR downloaded ARC 500. I haven't been to Columbus or Pine Mtn w/ my new scanner yet.

852.087500
852.112500
852.375000
854.437500

Looks like we may be current on our D-base now. Always a good thing.

Thanks to all who submit and then load it in.

The problem with the freqs in the database is that there are a lot of extra/old frequencies still listed. The database is messy due to this. I just wish they would remove the old freqs from each of the BC26 sites.

Does anyone know the new system ID for this system? I believe, as posted above, BC26 was the old LaGrange TRS system ID. The Columbus TRS also had a different system ID. This new combined TRS should have an altogether new, unique system ID.

LaGrange was the first users to use BC26. They came off of an old system and onto BC26 a few years ago. Columbus actually owns BC26, but just started using it recently. BC26 has been on the air even here in Columbus for years, it just had a very small amount of users..
