Has anyone that is within the footprint of the Comal simulcast had issues with transmissions on the 153.6 frequencies? I have tried from my home antenna, multiple types, about 4 miles N-NW of Bergheim, to receive the system, both on my laptop and on my calls node, as well as my 436HP while mobile. When 162 MHz is assigned a call, it comes across quite clear but when 153.6725 is assigned, it is garbled and unintelligible for the most part. I'm wondering if the site nearest me in Bulverde is just tuned bad on that particular antenna.

I watched this for a bit earlier today after I saw your post-
I’m near 46 in the area of SVHS; I didn’t see any difference between the two as each get assigned for active calls. Below is each during active voice traffic decoding...

Thanks. Since I’m outside of the intended footprint of coverage for that simulcast, it’s possible that it’s just too distorted for my antenna. I’ll be looking into a good directional antenna going forward for that node.

Old thread, but on the FD/EMS channel 46212 only the dispatcher comes across. The units are still on 154.295.

I am working on getting a good outdoor antenna to give the Comal County simulcast another go, but I think simulcast distortion was the biggest obstacle so I am going directional. The single pole mag mount in my attic got a good signal but it was too choppy due to the simulcast. Has anyone in New Braunfels given a listen for 774.80625 which is still showing up as a neighbor to Comal Co? It shows site 2.56 which would put it in the TxDOT/DPS Range. It has been there since 2.21 came online months ago.
