Silent Key
The radio traffic the last two days has been non-stop. Thousands of people on both the Guadalupe and Comal rivers tubing. All Comal Deputies and Reserves are on duty, along with all members of New Braunfels PD. Texas Alcohol officers are on the Guadalupe River checking tubers ID. There are extra DPS officers also working River Road and the loop. DPS is using Comal SO frequencies.
The sheriff's office is using the road dept freq of 155.880 for river command. The operator for this channel is working in the warrants section where they have a teletpe terminal. The SO is using 3 transport vehicles to take prisoners from River Road to the jail.
New Braunfels police are using the EVENT talk group for their officers on the Comal River.
Most common arrests are for Failure To Identify and Minor In Possession. A lot of fights and disturbances. I went by the jail whle ago and there was a traffic jam, with a lot of campers down trying to bail out their buddies.
Game wardens are on the river, but having to use cell phone to communicate with comal SO.
