Hi all; by now, some of you have received the 1204 edition of the Capitol Hill Monitors Newsletter. If you'd like to see what you're missing, check out the PDF version (you'll need the popular Adobe Acrobat reader) here:

http://henney.com/chm/chm.htm

In that issue, there's a long list of Combat Air Patrol frequencies. While the file is out on our ARC250 links page at:

http://henney.com/chm/files/ARCbackup/index.htm

The 'old' banks are exactly what they say they are; old freqs not reported in quite a while. If you read the Scan-DC list, you know that there has been a huge upswing in CAP training and flights; and a few old frequencies have suddenly come alive. You never know when this is going to happen.

The file is current to Xmas - however, a few things have changed and came up since then. These come from Scan-DC and Milcom; please add them as needed;

[from Mike F. - Tiger frequencies from last summer]:
VHF[133.8(TWR),138.0(V18),138.025(V1),138.1(V17),138.95(V16),148.125]
UHF[238.2(MAINT),262.0(OPS),290.4(TWR),300.125,348.6(GRND),370.85(A/D)]
[377.15(A/D),379.2(A/D)]

141.7 - Mussel flight coordination
251.45 - HOT MIKE Salty Dog testing
256.5 - Aircraft clg Baywatch 12/29
323.00 - VA ANG
286.20 - Warren Grove PA range
Blue Air and Red Air freqs reversed (12/30)

Now I've developed .csv files formatted for other scanners which should be importable into Excel or as a Works spreadsheet, as well as other applications, with a little editing. The following messages in this thread will mention any differences. Scan Control users can go to the Scan Control Yahoo group at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ScanControl/

and download files formatted for the 780 and 895. Use Scan Control's upgrade ability to change the files for the digital trunktrackers.

The first file is a straight csv export from ARC250. Even though it says text as an extension, it is a csv file.

Next is a file formatted for the 780 - and since the bank format is similar, it ought to also work with the 898t...

Next is a file formatted for the BC895 and PRO2052; due to the fact that neither radio can handle the VHF milair freqs in AM mode, that list is dropped; but everything else is here

What to do if you're not using a Uniden? Check out this file from Radiomax; it too is a csv file, but formatted very differently. This file has been individually checked on Excel 97 and Works spreadsheet and reads fine.

Radiomax users need only edit the file to remove the title line in record one, and change the extension to .fss to make it work.

The only thing missing from this file are the Have Quick frequencies. That is next.

I believe 354.800, not 351.800, is the correct freq for DC ANG 113th FW. Unless both are correct. I'm currently hearing activity from "Scary" and "Ravage" on 354.800. They switched to 266.500 to refuel on what they called the DC boom freq. 238.100 is also active tonight with Giantkiller and what sounded like "Micro51". Check out 292.300 as well.

A great week for catching milair. :)

Here's something I got from Rapbep (Ron) on the Scan-DC server re 354.8:
======
354.8 is the low altitude UHF advisory freq for Bay Watch control at Pax River. The "high" altitude freq is 270.8.
Any aircraft operating in Bay Watch's area (Chesapeake Bay, Pax River and the Eastern Shore and Atlantic test Ranges
off the MD/VA coasts) are under Bay Watch's control and have to check in & out with them as they use the restricted areas.
========
Normally I wouldn't encourage this, but due to the high interest, I think you can easily see that cross posting would be a great way of getting news out faster....73s Mike

I'm not sure. The activity was very brief. I only caught that 363.300 and 388.850 had activity, then they went silent. 239.800 was weak but I heard mentions of 'weather' and 'Dover Air Force Base'.

If memory serves, that would be Langley PMSV 73s Mike
