Combining nine emergency dispatching centers—an idea that was met with strong backlash only three years ago—has resurfaced in Butler County.

The county's five-member 911 Committee, headed by County Commissioner Greg Jolivette, has agreed to go forward with a study of the venture although some law enforcement officials say centralizing the system faces serious roadblocks.

How can you live in Hamilton and not have heard of this?
Commissioner Greg Jolivette has been talking about this for the past
3 years and trying to push for it.
