Combining Feeds

First I'd like to thank everyone for providing the feeds on this site.

I live in an area of Pennsylvania that is located on the corner of three seperate counties (Carbon, Schuylkill, and Luzerne). I am wondering if there is a way to combine the seperate feeds from these counties into one feed. For instance combine the following feeds: 1) Carbon County Police, Fire and EMS, 2) Schuylkill County Police Fire and EMS, & 3) Hazleton Police Fire and EMS and Hazle Township Fire and EMS.? I realize I'm probably asking for a lot. But I thought I'd ask if there is a way to do it.

Regardless of the technical issues, this won't happen. But there are at least three possible solutions to your dilemma:

1. Some media players, like Winamp and VLC, to name a few, can have multiple instances open at the same time. Each instance can listen to a different feed running through the same soundcard, giving you, the listener, the same effect as if someone combined all three feeds on the server end.

2. Try a program called ScannerLive. There is a free demo and some demo videos there. It will allow you to monitor up to 10 different feeds concurrently, and acts like a scanner...stopping on the active feed and muting the others. Then it moves on to the next active feed and so on. It's free to try and $20 to buy. The author frequents these forums and is very helpful.

3. You can move farther into your county so that the other counties will seem too far away to care about

All that one one feed would make it impossible to follow, especially for a newer listeners.

You could always run your multiple scanners into an external mixer board , thus combining the signals to one output that feeds the input to your soundcard.
