Comercial Frequency Listings?

Hi,

The frequency listings available by county on this website are great. However, I was also interested in frequencies that have been assigned to companies. The only frequencies listed appear to be government related or for hospitals. Other listings don't appear there.

Does anyone have a pointer to commercial frequency assignments?

Some of the counties have business group links near the bottom of the page. We rely on users to submit this data, so if users haven't sent any in, we don't have any to display. Most folks are interested in public safety frequencies, so business frequency listings are not as complete. Any help to that end is appreciated! The best place to start would be in the FCC data, which is available for each county by selecting the unidentified FCC frequencies link on the county page, then program those frequencies into your scanner and identify what you hear.

It depends on who you are trying to hear. A good number of businesses lease Talkgroups on LTR business systems which are listed in the databases as mentioned by greenthumb. Specific users, for the most part, are difficult to pinpoint as these systems can carry many talkgroups of a multitude of businesses.

Businesses such as Wal-mart can be found on various low power VHF business frequencies in the 151 and 154 MHz range while others that use low power such as Target and Best Buy use low power frequencies in the 461-465 and 466-470 MHz range.

"Signal Stalker" mode on newer scanners are useful for catching frequencies in use when you are in the area of a business you are interested in.

This year a number of Motorola MotoTRBO digital repeaters in the business UHF band has been noted along with 2 TRBO trunked VHF systems in the area. TRBO communications is unmonitorable with any current scanners.
