I have some general questions about this antenna. I recently purchased it from DX Engineering and was confused by a few items.
What loss will I receive on the RG-58A/U cable that comes with the antenna?
What amplifiers would go perfect with this antenna?
What cables would you recommend for this antenna that are reasonably priced and contain a (relatively) low loss factor?
How far would I be able to pick up?
I was reading some reviews about this antenna on eHam and they were basically saying that loss was a big problem with this antenna because it doesn't have hardly any gain.
I generally live in a rural setting and have clear line of sight to the NW of me. This antenna will be above the treeline in that direction and will be setting around 25-30' above ground.
