comet hfj 350m mounting thoughts

I was thinking and came up with a idea...
If I take my comet hfj 350m mount it through a flat plate between it and the coax cable run my ground radials wire to the plate mount the whole thing on a camera tripod then alligator clip radial wires cut to length for each band you think it would work or be detrimental to the process? 🤔
My thinking is the plate would give more room to mount more then one radial so as to be multi direction and easier to change radial length. Just wonder if the coax and plate would throw everything wonky 🤔
Let me know your thoughts...

Cancel that, I went down a rabbit hole after posting last night and stumbled on a guy that has already done it and yes it works. Lol
As usual my idea is a day late and dollar short but at least I know now it will work 🙂
