Comet SMA-W100RX SCANNER ANTENNA REVIEW NEEDED

Is this just another antenna or is this a good wide band scanner antenna? Can't find a review or a manual to tell how it works or does it get all frequencies fully extended? Any info would be great. Thanks Ron

Comet SMA-W100RX antenna info needed

Anyone have any experience with this antenna. Its a wide band antenna but don't need another antenna that doesn't work. does it receive all bands fully extended? Can't find a manual for it. Thanks Ron

From the spec sheet for that antenna "Telescoping element is marked to adjust the length and optimize the receive abilities at specific frequency ranges."

Just like most of these telescopic antennas you must adjust it according to the frequency you want to receive. Short for the higher frequencies and long for the lower ones. They work well if you scan things in the same band, but don't work as well if you scan the various bands at the same time.

Thanks for the info sounds the same as the Radio Shack telescoping whip. Don't need another that does the same thing. Ron
