Comet Uhv-4 Antenna

Quick question...I have a Comet Uhv-4 that I use for the mobile when I travel around the city and distant travels. My question is the holding sleeve where the antenna comes in from the manafacteur saids its been manual tuned from the factory do I need to tune anything or just leave the way it is? I been running it since I bought it

That's primarily pertaining to use with a transmitter, to obtain the proper match, and load. It's not really a concern with a receiver.

Okay understandable then! I was wondering should I tune the antenna or leave it way it is now because its been tuned manually by comet it saids. Another question will the Uhv-4 Antenna be a good match for the 706mkiig? I heard excellent review's about how it works well and performs awesome with the radio. But the uhv-4 doesnt do good on 6 meter's? from the way I understand from some of the local's maybe im wrong?
