What ever happened to Hancock County's safe-T plans?

Well if you read the Hancock Co page it explains what happened to the SAFET plans... no coverage in much of the county so no go! It's been this way since last October.

As for the "new info" all that is is a relocation of the channels used by GPD to another tower in hopes of getting less interference

What is agravatting for the officers on the road is many of them prefer the 800Mhz system and others the old system.

Wait until the new dispatch center opens, then we'll see what really happens, and whether the Sheriffs Dept and GPD are actually dispatched together or not, it hasn't happened yet but was supposed to have occured Jan 1 2008. With a new chief at GPD it will be interesting to see what occurs.
