Your favorites to listen to are Fire ? Police ? EMS?

they are all in the RRBB and area Analog, skip the Trunk unless you want the State Police

Boston Fire put in the Analog channels 483 Mhz, skip the P25 channels as they are Secure/ENC

Boston Police ? Pick your District, don't scan the entire City, the radio will never Stop.

EMS, run the Dispatch and Alt Disp channels

Regional (Mutual Aid) Fire/Police, put in the 470 Mhz and 48x Mhz channels
most are Analog, the P25 is only used on the rare "Event" situations

Hey, I'm going to be in Boston next week and I'm wondering what radio channels are the best to listen to?

I'm going to be staying at the Park Plaza for a conference. I am a Paramedic by trade, but enjoy listening to the police (especially when you hear sirens downtown at night.)

What district should I be listening to to hear whats going on close to that hotel?

District A-1 (Downtown) is right where you will be, others near you are always interesting... click on the red dots on the map on this page:

As fxdscn says, District 1 is where you will be. Adjoining area is District 4 (Area D), 460.500 DCS351.

Boston Fire Dispatch is on 483.1625 DCS023, with 483.1875 DCS114 as fireground.

Boston EMS Dispatch is on 462.975, DCS 072
Mutual Aid ambulances (private companies) are dispatched on 453.100 DCS165. That's base to base, the ambulances are actually dispatched on company frequencies.

Are you going to be at an EMS conference, or something else?"
