COMMERCE CITY - The spokesperson for South Adams County Fire says high winds made it difficult to put out fires at neighboring homes Sunday afternoon.

The fire started around 5 p.m. at a home located at 11467 Kenton Street.
Firefighters believe the fire started in a vacant home and then moved to the second house. One person in the second home was taken to the hospital to get checked out.
The vacant home was for sale.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
