Did Commack FD do something to their UHF tone out freq 470.975

I can barely hear it - when I used to hear it loud and clear.

CFD is still loud and clear at my location. Where are you listening from Rudy?

I was in the Holbrook area. Could barely hear them on their activation freq. There ops freq came in a little better.

Ive also noticed a difference on dispatch freq. Sounds like they are using a less power or moved location of transmitter?? This freq seems to have become weaker.

After further investigation, it appears that the water tank is being repainted so the antenna may have been temporarily re-located.

that happen in Terryville fd some years ago on jayne blvd water tower put up a lower repeater next to it { Port Jefferson } ....don

yes, Terryville activates off a transmitter 453.075 located in Selden then uses a local repeater on a water tower for their ops freq. I wish they would use Selden for both, I barely hear the ops repeater from where I am.

I here terryville & port jeff fd's from brentwood 800 stock ant come's in clear too also central moriches from brentwood on the new freq 484.975 loud & clear too ! ....
port jeff come's in low but ok on BC 346 XT
