Hi,
I do receiving only, <30 MHz, and use a RSPdx or an Airspy unit
with the SDRConsole software program.
Like most everyone I guess, am troubled with "noise," possible harmonics, etc.
Have a simple 150 foot long wire ant outside, balun, and a coax
run to the house.
Have gone thru the plugging and unplugging routine.
So, I dug out of my scrap box a quite old WinRadio WR-CMC-30 common mode choke. dc to 30 MHz quoted range.
Totally ineffective.
Couldn't see the slightest change with it in or out of the system, anywhere in the quoted usable range.
Anyone here using a common mode choke ?
Any thoughts on would be most appreciated.
Any tricks on using ? Only works for "some kind" of noise, etc. ?
Thanks,
Bob
