Hello, I am attempting to put 2m amateur frequencies into the expansion channels of a Standard Horizon HX380, US model as far as I can tell.

Using a Windows 7 computer (old yes, but this computer is basically here for programming radios) and the USB-57B programming cable. I have both YCE138 V2.0.0 and the YCE13 software. The HX380 is from batch 65. I have assigned a COM port and have selected the appropriate COM port in both software programs. I've also turned on the radio with the magical key combination to get it to display "Edt" in the display. All I get when I try to read or write to this radio is "Communication Error!!" with no further explanation.

Do I need newer software for a newer HX380? Am I missing something? Has anyone gotten this to work?
