Making Good Progress on Communication Proffesionals LTD
Don't mind me for waking up an old thread that I recently ID'd after NC5267 originally nudged me over 4-1/2 years ago to start looking into this undocumented 800 Mhz LTR TRS. I do run a dedicated Pro-197 scanner programmed with just unidentified freqs and unidentified talkgroups to aid in my many investigations.
On Saturday 9/24/16 early in the morning I hear UNID TG 0-05-004 telling his dispatcher that he was just turning off IH-35N on to FM1103 and would be heading to the "Turning Stone" Cibolo sub-division to pour concrete foundations at multiple jobsites. The spirit moved me and I was out the door with gear in hand to finally solve these UNID TG's that I was meaning to get around to solving someday and now that someday was today
It was a cake walk because as I was enroute our very helpfull dispatcher calls Truck # 2179 for his location. Presto copy down street name and in short order I was onsite writing down the company info that was displayed on the Beck Ready Mix Companys Cement Truck. Heck it gets even better for me as on the trucks door was their logo and on either side read "Beck Readymix" and "Beck Disposal" Co complete with "Schertz, TX and their phone (210) 658-6321. As I was driving away our friendly driver keyed up and said truck "2179 to base" and that nailed my 3 scanners, 1 on close call, 1 on input freq and the other on TRS TG# 0-05-004. Next stop was on to their yard located at 550 FM78 in Schertz,TX. I got 2 birds with 1 stone as I drove past their address I see a row of yellow pullaway dumpsters labeled Beck Disposal and Landfill Co also displaying 658-6321 and several dozen White Cement Trucks just like I saw on one of their jobsites. Pretty darn big operation as their yard was "YUGE" as The Donald would say. I counted give or take 50 ish or more trucks and several acres of landfill on their property. Their other TG#0-05-005 keyed up about dumpster numbers and also lit up my 3 scanners to confirm. I was impressed that both their HQ yard dispatchers base radio and their trucks make the far away Communication Professional LTR TRS located way out at 25870 US 281 North ( right next door to the Beefeys Backyard Burgers ). Well having a big radio tower up at an elevation of 374 ft and 150 watts output power can do wonders for wide area coverage right!
I submitted the following data info 9/24 to the RRDB and it just got finally posted on 10/06/16 ...
Business Talkgroups:
0-05-004 A BeckReadyMix - Beck Readymix Concrete Co Business
0-05-005 A BeckDisposal - Beck Disposal and Landfill Co Business

So since this event occurs mostly weekdays between 5am and 7am it will prove a tad challenging
Any help from the local few usual suspects that solve everything would be GREatly appreciated
