I can now confirm that at least here in Metro Indy, all the Community Health Networks Hospitals radio systems are an IP Site Connected Conventional DMR Network. I am going to do extensive logging this next week and submit the ]Repeaters, Slots, ID's etc that we do not have in the DB yet. I will then turn to nailing down more of the Hotels etc info for downtown as they are all hopping with NCAA stuff going on.

I'm also curious if we can identify anything from the NCAA:
  • 461.17500000 7K60FXE FB2
  • 461.76250000 7K60FXE FB2
  • 462.45000000 7K60FXE FB2
I was going to ask and hunt around for this stuff yesterday morning, but the RR link to the FCC site was down; and I figured since the NCAA has been in Indy for years this was nailed down already.

Maint, ifds to ifdlt, ifd engineering, imd frontdesk, imd to lp Mariott Operations Control (Literally the primary for all the downtown Mariott Properties. Not sure if they are linked to the outlying properties yet or not. Been trying to nail this down for a couple of years now. )
462.050 CC 1 SL 2 TG 1800 “up on the dancefloor” As far as I can tell so far... This is yet another Events TG, will monitor more after I finish with Community Health to see if its just for the JW or for all of the Mariott Props.

I can confirm that TG 310 is CHS PD Main at ALL campuses on ALL repeaters so far using Slot 1. PD HQ is located at Community East. I will know more by next Friday. Oh an Cubn, I need to get with you or Mattnik about cleaning up the Main Marion County page in regards to Ivy Tech etc.. Elimination of duplication etc... And maybe putting Ivy Tech, and all these other bigger IP Site Connected systems into the "Conventional Trunked" formats. (Am also logging IU Health's system and trying to get it lined out too.) Eskenazi Health's UHF system I am still confused on... Not sure if they have even properly built it out... Its lic'ed as pure DMR, And I have not found any signs its an TRS that I can tell.... No Control CH for Con+, Have not caught an "data/rest" pulse for Cap+ either.

Also, how do you tell if RAS is in use?
DSD+ will indicate if RAS is in use. As far as what it looks for specifically to determine that, idk. To the best of my knowledge, RAS only affects trying to listen via a radio, not a scanner.

It is conventional DMR IP Site Connect. Every repeater except for 462.1125 is in-building low power.

That explains why I have so much trouble trying to lock it down. I am not that far away at Roache/Rader - 27th/Rader, but if they run LP then its same as if they are miles away. Gonna have to make a trip over to eat near IUPUI lol...

TG 1100 is literally the only one I hear since COVID began. Yesterday on TG 1100 I heard Engineering called to Fairfield for an issue with a guest's TV.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott has their own separate DMR on 461.225

Really thought there'd be more activity with all the teams flying into town.

There won't be much more going on til this weekend then it may get a lot more busy. Meanwhile the IDPS Tacs are busy with escorts. Techs were alive with testing new APX radios all the last 2 days.

I've been scanning NCAA and all the other hotel/venue stuff when I'm downtown & I don't think I've heard anything on the NCAA frequencies. I'll be down there again on Friday & will document anything new I find.

451.8875 CC13 Primary Repeater for Franciscan Health Network *St. Francis South Campus* (Another IP Site Connected system, all campuses linked. All Campuses security EXCEPT South and Indy Metro Clinics are on the DMR. The DMR IS patched to IDPS S1 for the South Campus (Metro Indy) as Security is on IDPS S1. I will get deeper into this later after I get done trying to work out Community, and the St. Vincent's stuff as I am pretty sure that the Metro INDY St V's campuses are also IP Site Connected to the other campuses in IN (Plus the analog patch at the processing center . I do know all IU Health campuses will be once they finish converting everything. Have an idea they will build out an TRS once the new IUH Complex is built downtown. (Building new hospital, remodel of Methodist, connecting the new building and remodeled Methodist into one big complex with a new name.)

Now we have for St. Francis on that main repeater - SLOT 1, 118271 (Shuttle Bus/Van ops) SLOT 2, 118276 (Mooresville Campus ops) This now lets us know that there is also TG's 118272, 118273, 118274, 118275 out there, possibly up to 118279 or higher, in use on the various repeaters and slots. With IP Site Connected DMR you can pretty much load it up like an TRS to a point.

462.1125 CC 3 is the master. The antenna is on the roof. The only other active repeaters are on 461.825, 463.55, and 461.4625. All of these run 1 watt below grade (basement). There are two other in-building repeaters on 452.275 and 462.0125 that are disabled (standby).

This weekend I confirmed that at Community North, 463.95000 WNCX818 CC 1 TG 111 and 452.625 WQVS399 CC 1 TG 111 are simulcast. They transmit at the same time with the same RID on both.
That looks like a conventional IP Site Connect implementation used to enhance coverage. Radios roam between "sites" (read: repeaters) based on RSSI at the subscriber. Every repeater in the network carries all of the talkgroups all of the time, whether anyone's radio is actually using a given repeater or not. They are probably doing it for in-building purposes.
