I read this article from Aurora situation, and I am here in Newton Co Ga and I can tell you that the system was not deployed on time...........far from it I think that it ended up being 2 years if not more behind what was originally promised. If I was the Chiefs and Alderman up there I would come to Covington Ga and ask MaCom to let you borrow a programmed radio and listen for 24 hours, talk to the dispathcers and end users
I am not saying talk to the Chiefs and Department Heads because they are in a tough situation and I am not sure if they know what to say. an article in Urgent Comm quoted our recently retired Shieriff syaing system was working great..................were still trying to figure that one out.......its not good people I am telling you I have no problem with fact that its not Motorola I was excited that Motorola didnt get it I dont like it when same company always gets and ASSUMES that theyr gonna gte a bid thats not helathy and cost the taxpyers money I wish we had gone with EDACS or something that wasnt Open Sky its just too hard to understand the audio
