That is too funny, but oh so true. ROHS is such a joke. I work in electronics and our company is starting to build products that meet the new standard. Using the lead free parts and solder is a real pain. It requires way more heat and it is a chore to hand solder. It is kind of like trying to solder without any flux. It is hard to inspect the quality of solder joints. I hope this come back and slaps the EU in the face for such a stupid idea. Trying to keep a very small amount of lead out of landfills, but it will create more trash in the landfills due to increased product failures. I hope the US never adopts this standard.

What does ROHS stand for? I noticed a lot of things say "ROHS compliant" now.

Sorry to be so dumb but I am an old fart. . .

ROHS = "Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances"
