ComSouth DMR - COMNET Mississippi open bands in Fl

Good morning,
I’m located in Panama City Fl and I’m picking up this system ComSouth DMR - COMNET Mississippi Trunking System, Multiple, Mississippi - Scanner Frequencies with 1-4 bars. Picking up sites 1,2,3,7,16,20 that’s quite a bit I say. Only tg 200016 of course it’s enc. has anyone pick up any fl stuff? By the way I’m using sds200 with a indoor antenna.

I've been seeing a lot of tropospheric ducting going on between southern Florida all the way to Corpus Christi Texas. You can check out this map which will forecast for you what VHF/UHF propagation is going to look like. http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html

The other day I was on 2 meter SSB (144.2100 MHZ) talking to a group of guys, some in Pensacola and Mobile, and I'm in MS on the gulf coast, and then another guy 217 miles away from my in south west Louisiana. I was running 20 watts with a 3 element 2 meter yagi sitting on a camera tripod in my living room next to the radio. 217 mile conversation with just 20 watts!!! and the antenna wasn't even outside of the house. Signals are good.
