I was wondering if anyone has tried the following Comtelco antennas? I was wondering if they actually work well and within the specs they say.

A1131A
A1131B
A1132A
A1132B
A1531A
A1531B

They claim 140-170 / 440-470 and good for 200W.

I use the 1131A and have great success with a drilled roof mount on my SUV. I recently checked it out with an MFJ-269 analyzer and found it to be a good design for the frequencies claimed. When I know I'm going to be in more fringe areas (plus don't have to be concerned with getting in the garage), I swap it out for a taller Larsen. Day-to-day use in the Tulsa metro area, it's just what I like.

I have and still use both Comtelco and Larson dual band antenna and have never had a problem.

I also know of Law Enforcement agengys that used them and also have not hard a problem.

For several years the Wash State Patrol have used them on both the cars and on the motorcycles.

If they can use them, why not the average joe/jane?
